Our Program

At All Angels Episcopal Day School, we are committed to nurturing the whole child through a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum that supports growth across all domains. Our program is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

General Information

School Organization

The day-to-day operations of All Angels are overseen by the Director, with support from the Assistant Director. Each classroom is led by a qualified lead teacher and supported by a teaching assistant. Teachers collaborate to plan and implement daily activities that reflect the developmental needs and interests of the children. We value strong partnerships with families and work together to create an environment where children can explore, grow, and thrive.

All Angels is affiliated with St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and is supported by a Board of Directors. The Board includes members of the parish, current parents, a representative from the church vestry, and the Rector or their designee. The Director serves as an ex officio member. While the church provides historical and structural support, our program is primarily governed by the standards and regulations of the State of New Mexico, including licensing and oversight through the Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD).

All Angels Episcopal Day School is a proud member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES).

Special Programs

Clay Class (Art)

Our art program is now centered around a hands-on clay class, led weekly by our Director, Monica. Even our youngest learners (age 2) participate bi-weekly. Children explore artistic expression through sculpting, molding, and experimenting with texture and form. This creative experience supports fine motor development, imagination, and collaboration. Each year, we celebrate their work with a student art show hosted in the gallery on the St. Michael’s campus.

Language Enrichment

Living in New Mexico, we embrace the rich cultural and linguistic diversity of our region. Children are introduced to Spanish through songs, vocabulary, and classroom labels in both English and Spanish. In addition, our Assistant Director, Liz—who brings experience as a signed language interpreter—leads weekly American Sign Language (ASL) sessions, with bi-weekly classes for our 2-year-olds. These language experiences support communication, inclusion, and early literacy.

Onsite Field Trips

We believe in bringing the world to our children. Rather than traveling offsite, we host onsite field trips that are safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate. These experiences are coordinated through our Community Engagement Committee and have included visits from Farmer Leonard and his animals, Explora, Exotics of the Rainforest, the Natural History Museum, Dion’s and more.

Food Program

All Angels participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. We provide nutritious breakfasts and morning and afternoon snacks at no cost to families. To participate, families must complete an annual enrollment form.

Tuition and Financial Support

All Angels is committed to providing high-quality, affordable preschool for all families. Thanks to strong support from the State of New Mexico, we offer grants and subsidies to qualifying families. We work closely with state agencies to ensure that cost is never a barrier to accessing early childhood education.
